SPA has Moved!
We are thrilled to announce that the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts (SPA) upgraded to a newer and more magnificent space to foster the artistic growth of our students and faculty. Our move to the historic Oquirrh School in Salt Lake City marks a significant milestone in our continued journey towards excellence in performing arts education.
Our new location provides us with ample room to expand and further enhance the SPA experience. We want our students to have access to state-of-the-art facilities that inspire their creativity and nurture their talents.
The Oquirrh School, with its remarkable architecture, abundant natural light, and large windows, provides an enchanting environment that harmonizes beautifully with our school's artistic spirit. Located conveniently close to trax and various dining options, it offers a vibrant and accessible setting for our students.
This school also has a rich historical significance as it was one of the first public schools built in Salt Lake City and was designed by Richard K. A. Kletting, who also designed the Capital Building. It has been utilized for kids in various ways for well over 100 years. Kids belong in this building!
Our dedicated team worked tirelessly throughout the summer of 2023 to ensure a seamless transition. We completed the move and renovations in time for the start of the 2023-2024 school year. When the district's first day of school arrived in August, SPA was ready to welcome our students with open arms.
This move represents a significant step forward in the continued growth of Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts. We are excited about the possibilities that our new home will unlock for our students and faculty. It is an opportunity for us to create an even more vibrant and inspiring learning environment, fostering artistic excellence and personal growth.
We are thrilled to have embarked on this new chapter together and invite you to join us on this extraordinary journey.
